Confirmation

The service of confirmation is traditionally associated as the entrance for Holy Communion. It is very much more than that. Confirmation is the public recognition in many churches that someone has become a Christian. In the Bible it says, "God demonstrates his own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5.8). In Holy Communion, Christians celebrate the Last Supper when Jesus consciously chose to die to take God's punishment for our sins on the cross, so that we can have new life in him.
