What can you expect on Sundays at Christ Church? We are an evangelical church which means we value preaching from the Bible, which we believe is the Word of God. Bibles are available in all the pews.
The style of worship is different for each of the three services. The 10.30 service is the family service - not just for families but the whole Christ Church family. We use Mission Praise for our songs and hymns and these are led led by our fine organ or played on the piano. Special children's activities are in the hall during the service. Members of the congregation lead intercession prayer. Preaching is from the Bible. We like to meet visitors over a cup of coffee in the church after the service.
The 6.30 service is usually a teaching service with space for reflection. Come and argue about the sermon over a cup of tea after the service!
The 8.00 am service is always Holy Communion, a quiet and very personal time to meet God at beginning of the day.
