Christ Church Requests / Notices (last updated 31/8/08)

Alpha course.  Christ Church have been asked to cook the meals on the 5 November and the 10 December.  We need 5 cooks and 5 people to help with the serving and clearing up.  If you are willing to help please speak to Caroline Puxley. 

Open the Book.  This is a project that offers children in primary schools an opportunity to hear God's story in weekly collective worship.  We have been asked by the Brentwood Schools Christian Worker Trust if we would like to be involved with this project at Holly Trees from Setpember, along with the Baptist and Methodist churches.  A team of 3 people is required to take the assemblies but a support team is also required to provide props.  Any volunteers? 

Samaritan's Purse. Yes, it’s only five months before we shall be packing shoe boxes. I have just sent off for posters and leaflets for this year’s collection so please start to think about what your box might contain. Some boxes went to Libya last year and as a result, after 14 years of horrifying civil war, progress is being made to contact people in that country through the delivery of the shoe boxes, and this is just one example of how much such a simple act can achieve. Thank you on behalf of children around the world.
