Christ Church Prayer Requests (updated on 6/03/10)

For Christ Church

For Chris and Ellen on a skiing holiday with their family.  Pray for refreshment, safety for all and easy travel.

For the ministry work in Chattabox to be fun for the children and that their parents will sense a warm welcome from all the team.

For the work of running the church - that more people will take on the responsibilities involved in administering Diocesan requirements and that a new churchwarden will be found.

For the final financial details of the Centre to be settled quickly: these are proving very protracted and elusive and are holding up the annual accounts which have to be completed for the APCM.

For the new West Door - again the contractor is proving elusive, and the installtion date has yet to be finalized.

For the church

For the Word of God to be upheld in the church and for freedom for Christians to practice their faith without interference.  Last week the House of Lords voted to allow gay marriages in churches.  Pray that the Commons will not allow this bill through and that the Christian ethos of our society will be preserved.

Please continue to pray for the sick

Prayer

Almighty God, we pray that your church will be protected against persecution and that your people will be free to uphold your values.  Protect our bishops and clergy as they stand against the erosion of your Word.  Be close, Lord, encourage, comfort and heal those who need your grace day by day.  Amen.

Please pray for those who live and work in:
